Are You Smarter Than A 1st Grader?
This is the real Karate Kid. He’s going to be 7 in a couple months.
When we were looking around the store for what he wanted for his birthday, this is the stuff that made his eyes glaze over:
We were hoping he’d pick a bike, but this is where his head is at. Maybe his heart too. He’s got tons of this around the house. We build them, he plays with them a couple of days, and they get scattered and dumped with a million other pieces. At least with a bike, it’ll be something he plays with much longer.
Ok, did you notice the price tag on this thing? Yeah – $79.88!
You can literally start your own business for less than that!
I’m talking about a real internet business, partnering with hundreds of companies, access to a global market, and licensed to register your own affiliate members. You could get started in your own business that’s up and running 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, no inventory, employees, or quotas for less than the cost of a kid’s toy (although $80 does seem a little steep for a bunch of little plastic building blocks…)!
But to own your own business! The opportunity to do something part-time, on the side, that could let you take control of your own financial future. And not have to let the economy or someone else determine your quality of life. For less than the price of a kid’s toy, you could start a business that could bring in monthly cashflow for the rest of your life.
Even as good as all that sounds, if I were to ask Jonny what he’d want for his birthday, a bike, the toy, or his own business, guess what he’d pick…
The toy!
Well, you gotta remember, he’ll be turning 7. His worldview is a little limited right now.
But here’s the thing; these things are flying off the self! And full grown adults are buying them. Grown ups, with kids, spending their hard earned money. Grown ups with debt, and jobs (or unemployed), and stress, are buying things that will add practically no lasting value to their quality of life.
And how many of these very same people who think nothing of spending $80 on a toy, would balk at and pass up the opportunity to own their own business? Sadly, the majority. The masses are still out there looking for that elusive good job and job security, entitlements, and instant gratification.
Jonny’s going to be 7. I wouldn’t have expected the choices he makes today to be that all that mature. By the time he’s 27, I hope he’s not following the masses.
Entrepreneurs are a rare breed. We do think differently. But somebody’s gotta keep the spirit of free enterprise alive!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

Pretty fantastic post. I ran into your blog and wanted to say your information seems legit. Will keep informed. Thanks.
Really marvelous post. Theoretically I could write something like this too, but taking the time and effort to make a good article is a lot of effort…but what can I say….I’m a procrastinater. Good read though.
You’re right. Procrastinating is a struggle for me too.
Posting good content is time consuming, but the ‘thanks’ and benefit to others is encouraging.
Awesome site, I had not noticed pdaffiliates.com earlier during my searches!
Keep up the fantastic work!
Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, I bookmarked it.
My partner and I really enjoyed reading this blog post, I was just itching to know do you trade featured posts? I am always trying to find someone to make trades with and merely thought I would ask.
Small business grants –
I don’t guest post other’s blogs. I have just enough to keep this blog relevant, unique, and interesting.
And I’m hesitant to let others guest post here ’cause I’m trying to keep this blog, relevant, unique, and interesting…
But you’re certainly welcome to post your comments here.
